Tomatoes in the protected ground were affected by bacterial cancer (Clavibacter michiganensis).
The disease was in advanced stage: up to 30% of plants were severely damaged.

- Plants are more resistant to bacterial cancer and this stopped the spread of the disease
- Plants recovered faster and better after the bacterial canker
- As a result, the yield was 80 t/ha
